the Texas antique fair, still the happiest place on earth?

Not in the fall. The heat is too much to bear. Also, I can’t justify the costs for as little as I found this trip. Just so you have an idea – in case you’d like to go – the flight, truck rental, accommodations (not swanky), keeping my shop open at home and gas back cost me $3450, and this is the absolute cheapest way I know how to do it. I drove back a few things for friends so I recouped a little bit of that. It’s not all bad, what I did find was excellent, I am really thrilled with my purchases, and am taking a break from putting them all in place to write this post. Eventually I will get them up on my new online shop, but here’s a sneak peek for you: Desktop13
So, until the next trip I’ll continue shopping for antiques a little closer to home, and have no doubt I will find some very special things, that’s what keeps me going!
Thanks for reading,
Scarlett
