Hi Friends,
I just got home from one of the best trips to Texas ever! Just like I am and my style and my shop is ever evolving, so are these trips. Gone are the fun evenings with friends at Zapp Hall, but they have been replaced by perfect and easy evenings with friends at the ranch, focused shopping, healthy eating (lots of beet and avocado salad, what the heck is Frito pie anyway?) and taking it a bit slower so I can fully appreciate the incredible beauty that is Texas hill country. The weather was pretty perfect the whole time, I didn’t get a thunderstorm but I very much enjoyed the not-too-hot sunshine. Our daily drive was about 25 minutes, every morning and every single evening I never ever got over the beauty:
I bought some pretty amazing pieces, large and small. After unpacking my goodies today that flew home with me, I also noticed a fair amount of fantastic vintage jewelry from the 20’s and 30’s, like this beauty:
In a field in Texas I came across an artist whose work I carried years ago, but he does not have a website so I never got a hold of more of these fab rings you loved, until now. Email for sizes and prices. Each is sterling, handmade one of a kind.
This French cabinet is one of my favorites:
As I write, friends of mine that are dealers too are driving the big stuff back from Texas. They should be in the shop next by next Thursday. Here are a few more goodies:
More, as always, on my Facebook and Instagram. So my next post will be about a sale, I just wanted to share this goodness with you. Dibs? Email me scarlett@saffronandgenevieve.com
Ran across your words about the “traffic jam” and how it was just an opportunity to “look” more. I admire that and appreciate it.
Thank you, Katie! The show has gotten so big there’s just no way around it, except a bicycle 🙂
