Now it can be told.

I wasn’t allowed to talk about it, but now it’s out there, and I’m getting very exciting phone calls and emails!  Design Sponge did a sneak peek of my little cottage.  I understand there might be some of you that don’t know what Design Sponge is, so I will tell you that this is a VERY BIG DEAL!  At least for me and my shop.  My friend Raya Carlisle took most of the pics.  I’ve added some that did not make the cut, and some I took myself.  I’m hoping to get the shop in next, it’s SO much prettier than my house.   Here is an excerpt of the interview that did not get in, I like what I said so I’m putting it out there:

I’ve worked for some very talented designers, gaining hands on experience, and I picked up a love of American and English antiques along the way. Five years ago I opened the shop that I had been dreaming of and talking about for years, Saffron and Genevieve. I only buy what I love, and that resonates with my customers. I’m so lucky that my design clients “get” me, because they have been in my shop and understand where I am coming from. I don’t make every home look like my shop, the client and the house itself knows what needs to be done. I do like to make sure that everything that goes in to the home is something they love, something special, something that will last. It’s a balance, keeping my shop fresh and keeping my design clients happy, but I can’t imagine doing anything else.
